Notifications — How To: Manage System Notifications (Employee)

Purpose

Customize how and when you receive system notifications in Engage. After completing this process, you can control which alerts you receive and through which channels.


Before You Start

  • You must be logged into Engage.

  • Your user must have an active access profile (e.g., Employee).

  • Notification settings may vary depending on company configuration.


Steps

? View Notifications

  1. Log in to Engage.

  2. Click the bell icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Review your recent notifications.


? Manage Notification Preferences

  1. Click on your name in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Notification Management.

  3. Review the list of available notification types (e.g., approvals, rejections, reminders).

  4. Enable or disable notifications according to your preference.

  5. Save your changes (if required).


Important Rules

  • Some notifications may be mandatory and cannot be disabled.

  • Email notifications depend on the company’s configuration.

  • Disabling a notification may prevent you from receiving important workflow updates.

  • Approval-related notifications are important for tracking request status.


Common Issues

Issue: I am not receiving email notifications
Likely cause: Notifications disabled or incorrect email registered.
How to solve:

  • Check Notification Management settings.

  • Confirm your email in My Profile.

  • Check spam folder.


Issue: I am receiving too many notifications
Likely cause: All notification types enabled.
How to solve: Disable non-essential notifications in Notification Management.


Issue: I did not receive notification about a rejected week
Likely cause: Notification disabled or email filtered.
How to solve: Check notification settings and confirm status directly in the system.
