Purpose
Identify and resolve situations where you can log in to Engage, but the left-side menu does not appear and no actions are available. This usually means no access profile has been assigned to your user.
Before You Start
Confirm you were able to log in successfully.
Confirm you are using the correct company email.
Confirm you are currently an active employee.
⚠️ This issue is not related to password problems.
What Is Happening
If you log in and:
The left-side menu does not appear
You only see a blank dashboard or minimal screen
You cannot access Time Entries, Requests, Vacation, or any other module
This indicates your user does not have an access profile assigned (e.g., Employee profile).
Steps to Resolve
Step 1 — Confirm Login Was Successful
Log in normally.
Verify your name appears in the top-right corner.
If your name appears but no menu is visible, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2 — Contact HR or System Administrator
Send a message to your HR team requesting confirmation of:
Whether your user has an access profile assigned
Whether the Employee profile is correctly linked to your user
Whether your employment status is active in the system
Only HR or system administrators can:
Assign an access profile (e.g., Employee)
Correct permission settings
Reactivate an inactive user
Fix configuration issues
Important Rules
Engage access depends on two things:
Active user
Assigned access profile
Without a profile, the system allows login but does not display functional menus.
This is a configuration issue, not a technical system error.
Engage support cannot assign profiles directly — this must be done internally by your company administrator.
Common Issues
Issue: I can log in but the screen is empty
Likely cause: No access profile assigned.
How to solve: Ask HR to assign the Employee profile to your user.
Issue: I was hired today and cannot access menus
Likely cause: Profile not yet configured.
How to solve: HR must complete user setup and profile assignment.
Issue: I changed roles and lost system access
Likely cause: Previous profile removed without new one assigned.
How to solve: HR must review and correct your profile permissions.
